Welcome to "the Ark" Worship and Retreat Centre, Western Quebec's most picturesque venue for Christian retreats. Besides Sunday worship we specialize in parish team building retreats, high school and youth getaways, and a vibrant Ministry to married couples.
Only 40 minutes north of Ottawa, 15 minutes north of Wakefield, Quebec, the Ark is definitely a retreat worthy of further investigation.
In addition to being a full time retreat-worship centre, the public from the surrounding communities (like Alcove, Chelsea, Maniwaki, Mont Ste Marie, Wakefield etc.), are always welcome to join our congregation every Sunday for Divine worship and the Eucharist at eleven o’clock.
The French congregation that shares our building also meets for public worship every Sunday at two (2) in the afternoon. The minister to the French parish is the Rev Ghislaine Yergeau. Rev Ghislaine lives in Aylmer.
The Arc Fellowship opened to the public on 24 December 1998 and began with two people, the pastor and his wife. At present over three hundred adults and their children look to the Arc Church for pastoral Care.
Fondly referred to as "the Ark" this unique worshiping Christian Community is located on 164 acres of pristine Gatineau Hills forest.
Indoors we have a 2,000 square foot worship centre facility with tables and chairs.
In the winter there is radiant heat through the concrete floor and an old fashioned woodstove in the center of the room for
additional warmth.
In summer our worship moves outside where we are surrounded by beautiful gardens, wildflowers, rolling hills and hardwood forests.
Outdoors we are surrounded by a mature hardwood forest of oaks and maples. Ten kilometers of trails wind their way up and down the hills. Wildlife and picturesque views abound.
At the Ark your soul will be restored as you will be built up as never before.
